Little Drummer Boy No More

My kids are growing up so fast that sometimes I wish they are still toddlers. Love them to bits and I know they deserve a good life as they are good boy and girl. My boy loves to tinker on lego toys and other toys that requires building and also thinking while my lil' girl is a chatter one who loves dolls, nice dress and anything girly.

Though they both love music, I don't remember my eldest son ask for a drum set like this nice spaun drum or any musical instrument but he has drum toys when he was growing up where also pretend to be a little drummer boy. Ah... fun to reminisce all the memories while they are growing up and I will keep them in my heart and mind forever. I wish and pray they will grow up as fine man and woman for me and their father will be so proud of them.

He's in Trouble

I've been keeping an eye on the news about the Philippines and up to now it's still hard to believe on what had happened to my countrymen back in the Philippines especially those in the Visayas area. So sad.....

Anyway, heard on the news that Pacman, the famous fighter won again last weekend and the whole Philippines are rejoicing once again. However, the joy turned sour when the BIR or the internal revenue of the government is suing him for not paying his 2008 and 2009 income tax. Pacquiao is quick to reply and he said he paid at the IRS in the US and his camp said that he already sent a proof to BIR which BIR is not accepting bec. they are looking for an original copy of the tax filed. Oh I think he need to have a good accountant and lawyer like lawyers in north carolina that will take care of his lawsuits.

It's not easy being famous for all his moves and mistakes will be magnified 100 folds. yay.

How You Know When You Need Chimney Repair

Chimneys can play a vital role in keeping your home warm and cozy during the cold months of the year. In order to safely take advantage of your chimney, you need to make sure that it stays clean and in good repair. In NJ, chimney repair and cleaning can save you from the physical danger that can arise when chimneys are neglected. Here is some advice on how to properly take care of the chimney cleaning and repair.

Cleaning Your Chimney
Over time, chimneys build up soot and blockages of creosote, a highly flammable substance that reduces the effectiveness of a fireplace and increases the risk of a chimney fire. The buildup on chimney walls can make it so that fire smoke doesn’t properly filter out of your home. In order to avoid these kinds of negative consequences, you should have your chimney inspected once a year to determine if cleaning or repairing is necessary. Regular chimney cleaning is absolutely essential in removing buildup and soot on the chimney walls in order to allow for proper ventilation. If you use your fireplace on a regular, daily basis, then you will need to have regular, yearly cleanings to eliminate the risk of undiscovered defects in the chimney that can necessitate expensive and extensive repairs. The best time to have your chimney cleaned is during the off-season for your fireplace, so during the summer or early fall. Cleaning at these times will allow you to start the colder seasons with a clean chimney ready for regular use.

Determining If You Need Repairs
In NJ,chimney repair may become necessary for the proper functioning of your fireplace and chimney. The best way to determine if repairs are necessary is to have your chimney inspected. A professional inspector can best assess your ventilation system and advise you on where problems may exist and the best options for resolving those problems. Before you start lighting up your furnace in response to weather changes, you should have an inspection performed to assess your chimney’s condition and determine if you need to have your chimney cleaned or if there are ventilation issues necessitating repair.

Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) Hits Philippines

I was deeply sad when I heard from news that a super typhoon hits my homeland on Nov. 8, 2013. Super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) devastated parts of the Visayas and the destruction is so massive and unthinkable.

I'm so relieved that my family back home is not affected by this destructive typhoon because our province is in Luzon and very far from the path of Yolanda. It's so heartbreaking to see that my countrymen suffered a lot for they lost almost everything from them. Thousands have died and many are still hungry.

It's good to know that a lot of people are reaching out to help even other countries like Australia, US, UK, Japan and more have sent their aid to the Philippines and will help rebuild the devastated community in the Visayas.

I am praying that people will slowly rebuild their lives back again but I know it will take a lot of time to heal their wounds and suffering but there is hope.

Shopping.... Shopping...

I've been feeling excited these past few because of our upcoming overseas vacation back home. Only 1 more month and we're going and I'm yet to finish some more stuff before I can rest. It's tiring but I'm very much excited as well as the kids. I have scoured the shops to find nice gifts for my nieces and nephews plus my siblings and all of my family. I even had the chance to browse american audio dj gear at musicians friend with the hopes of finding a gift for my nephew who'm I heard loves music so much that he planned to take up conservatory of mysic in the univ. this coming June 2014. Wow, I'm amazed as I have no inclination that he'd go that path. I'm not sure if he'd change his mind.. we'll see...

I have sent a box full of goodies already just in time for Christmas and I hope that it will arrive early December. I still need to go to the shops for more shopping as I still need to cross out all the items on my shopping list.

My sister back home is also so excited to see us especially the kids because it was in 2010 when she saw them. I'm sure my kids will have a blast once again in PI. yay!

Bundle Up

It's getting warmer these days here in OZ land and soon summer will be come in December. That is quite opposite to those in the US and some parts of the world when they have snow because it's winter time there in Christmas. If I have already put our winter clothes in our storage room, some people are just taking out their winters clothes or maybe doing shopping at for some new winter stuff.

I have to say that winter can be sickening at times because there are times that my body just couldn't bear the cold winter air, to think that we don't even have any snow here in Sydney area. How much more if there is a snow where it can be freezing? I'm sure I'll be bundled up with many layers of winter

Anyway, I have some relatives and friends in the US and I know they are already preparing for their white snowy Christmas this year while we're going to have a hot one.

Home Decor Inspiration: Bubble Gum Pink

I will try to redecorate our house soon so I'm looking for some home decor inspirations. One good place to find such is at Pinterest and Polyvore where there are hips of great decorators and designers who share their talents.

Found this cute color combo: gray and bubblegum pink colors and I think they look so chic, elegant and neat. I might have to turn one room into something like this. But first I have to check out the shops to find some decors with this kind of color combination.

Introducing: Bubblegum Pink

Early Christmas Shopping

Can't wait for Christmas to arrive this year because we'll be spending our holiday overseas in our hometown in the Philippines! My family will fly there and as of this moment my kids are all excited already since it will be their 2nd time to be there. They will be meeting again their cousins, grandma, and tito/titas (aunt/uncles) on my mom's side and I know they will have a blast again just like the last time we're there in 2009.

Actually, I have shopped for Christmas presents already and have sent a box full of goodies that will arrive probably mid November or later than that. I have asked them what they want as presents and after knowing them, I hit the shops and did my early Christmas shopping. My nephew even wants a gibson les paul case for his guitar but unfortunately I can't buy it for him since it's bulky. I guess I just have to buy him that  at the local shop when I'm there already.

I'm not yet finished with my Christmas shopping for I still have some more in my list. My family is kinda big and I'm planning to give each and everyone their presents eventhough it 'll be simple.

Dental Chains like Genesis Dental

Many people do not realize that there are such things as chain dental offices. Chain dentists are unique in that they have different offices in many different cities. The advantage to dental chains like Genesis dental is that these chains can often accept a lot of different insurance companies, which small dental offices often can’t afford to do. Chain dental offices can also afford to charge less than a small dental office because they have a larger client base. These benefits make it easier and cheaper for you to take care of your teeth, but what services do these kinds of dental offices provide?

Dental Maintenance

First, these kinds of dental offices offer the procedures necessary for dental maintenance. Dental cleanings are a very important part in maintaining your dental health. In a cleaning, a professional thoroughly cleans your teeth and also examines your teeth so that they can identify any signs of disease or decay before these issues become serious. Without regular cleanings, decay and disease can grow unchecked, paving the way for extremely painful and expensive repair procedures later on. For this reason, it is very important to go to the dentist for maintenance procedures so that you can keep your teeth healthy and looking great.

Cosmetic Procedures

Also, chain dental offices offer cosmetic procedures to their clients to help enhance the appearance of teeth. First, teeth straightening is a common cosmetic procedure. Because crooked teeth can cause discomfort, impede teeth growth, and cause a loss in confidence, many people choose to have their teeth straightened through one of two methods: traditional braces or invisible braces. In more severe cases, traditional braces are often more effective. Invisible braces have their own benefits as well, like increased comfort and invisibility. Next, teeth whitening is another cosmetic procedure that a dentist can provide. Teeth yellow every day from their exposure to foods and drinks, but teeth whitening can get rid of the negative appearance of yellowed teeth. At chain dentist offices, like Genesis Dental, you can get all of these services to increase the health and appearance of your teeth.

Finally Engaged !

A distant cousin of mine whom I have not seen for couple of years now is finally engaged to her bf for more than 5 years. I just learned the happy news last week from my sister and I think they are getting married early next year, maybe during the summer time. Too bad, we're not there anymore so we'll not be able to attend her wedding. Our vacation will be this Christmas so it's impossible to come back home again.

I'm so sure that both my cousin and her husband to be are in cloud nine after the engagement and I wonder what kind of ring does he give her. Though the ring doesn't really out too much weight on their relationship but I know all girls would love to also get a nine diamond engagement ring for hers to keep.

Fairy Tale Playtime

My missy moo still loves to play with her dolls and other toys and found this very cute fairy tale like tent. I guess this would be a perfect set-up for a playtime with her friends on some occasions where I get to invite her friends over some snacks after school.

I think I can also set this up on her next birthday and I'm sure she and her playmates will love it.

Fun Days Ahead

Four more months and fun days are ahead. We'll be celebrating holidays back home in Pinas and we all can't wait to see my family and friend once again. It's been 4 years since the last time we went home and we'll be there already.

My sister told me that she's going to hire a video machine that we can use for Christmas and New Year celebration and I'm sure that  my hubby will be singing once again. I might have to check the great Engl Guitar Amplifiers at musician's friend just in case we'll ever need that too for the occasion. I guess even if we'll not have hi-tech gadgets fun times are still ahead.

Top cities for the coffee lover

Coffees popularity is through the roof at the moment. We all seem to crave that caffeine boost to get us through the day. There are a few of us though classified as aficionados. We walk amongst the normal people, completing everyday tasks and functioning like they do. Nothing separates us from them excluding our different appreciation of the humble coffee break. The smell of roasting coffee beans not only calms our mind but causes us to salivate. The following article is for the true “believers”, the true coffee aficionados. Coffee is a hobby so why not invest in a holiday?

Istanbul, Turkey

Tea is the beverage of choice in most Istanbul cafes. Turkey is still the inspiration behind other coffee-loving cities. Their rich black coffee is a well-kept secret. The baristas roast and grind beans into a fine meal; this is then boiled with sugar in a pot (cezve).

Tel Aviv, Israel

The coastal cities are swamped with cafes. There’s iced coffee to refresh you in the summer and hot coffee to warm you up in the winter. Israeli follows the Turkish tradition of dark rich coffee. The coffee is dark, intense and rich. There is a unique culture when it comes to cafes. It’ll be hard for you to not fall in love with the atmosphere.

Havana, Cuba

Café cubano is an espresso shot infused with demerara sugar, Havana is the best location to get one or twenty. The coffee is small and sweet with a big punch of caffeine. The flavour can be quite intense even for the most experience coffee adorer. Try a cortadito, an espresso topped with milk.

Paris, France

Most of your coffees will be paired with a sweet treat. Don’t worry, you are on holiday! The coffee has been rated as nothing special but the cafes themselves make up for it. They attract you with their open-air seating, cosy tables for two and steaming espresso shots.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

It’s the birthplace of coffee; obviously it had to make the list. There are coffee ceremony’s that you must absolutely take part of as a coffee admirer. The ceremony involves roasting, grinding and then brewing coffee beans in a clay pot called jebena.

Rome, Italy

You won’t have to travel far to find a café, perfect for when you need a coffee fix. What weary traveller doesn’t need a coffee fix? The city thrives on caffeine, it’s their power source. Order any coffee you like. The quality of beans, the machines and presentation is high. To find more coffee destinations view this page. You’ll be amazed at the opportunity.

Day Gone Good

.................And when she moves
The way she glides across the room
Just like an angel
I wish that I could see her one more time
And when she moves
The way she glides across the room
Just like an angel

Ahhhhhh.. this song keeps ringing in my ear since this morning and that is what you call LSS or last song syndrome. That was the song ANGEL of Fralippo lippi I just heard it on my playlist while going through some files on my drawer and from then on it got stuck in my head. Well I guess it (music) helped me go through the day. It was a chilly morning and I have a hard time moving around the house but when I played some music it kinda give me some added energy and some inspiration to do some of my stuff. I even saw some g&l legacy at musicians friend while browsing online and it remind me of my older brother back home coz he likes to play elec. guitars back when he was still single and young.

I heard that he still plays his fave songs using his old long playing albums.... such a classic!

Stair Lifts: Helping Elderly, Handicapped and Disabled

Having a disability makes one helpless and sometimes immobile. It's pretty hard to see someone in any family having difficulties in walking and even climbing the stairs. Old people can experience severe pains in their backs and knees due to arthritis and other ailments and for them to move around they need assistance most of the times. Care givers may sometimes have a hard time carrying or assisting them that is why some tools are needed to be used.

Handicapped people due to accidents or ailments and people born with inability to walk by themselves face the same problem everyday. Thankfully, there are wide range of tools, gadgets and other machines that can help them become mobile and become self dependent at times.

I am glad to know that stairlifts can easily be installed on stairs and it can really help those that are having problems climbing the stairs of their own. These stair lifts can be installed indoors and outdoors and actually improve the lives of elderly, handicapped and disabled persons by making them move freely from one place to another.

Music Room

I was browsing Pintrest for music room ideas because I'm slowly thinking of turning the small room in our house an added accent room where guests can hang out. I just find it so cute to decorate them with notes on the walls and hang some guitars. I'm sure my little boy will be delighted to bang the drum and strum the guitars. It sure is exciting to get great roland at guitar center as they have one of the best guitars online.

Here are some music room that I found.

Growing up Too Quickly

My kids are growing up so fast and they are lovely as ever. However, I miss them when they are just babies when I use to wrap and cuddle them in my arms not wanting to let them go. Now, they are in primary school, learning so many things from school and from the things they see around.

My little miss wants to dance, ice-skate, and ride the bike. My lil boy is also learning so fast, he still loves creating works on his lego and I think he wants to learn to play musical instruments. Let's see if he'll ever ask me to buy him a guitar or a drum one day.

I'm just so happy that they are expanding their horizon trying to learn new things that can enrich their lives eventhough they are still young.

Creative Presentation

My kids love fruits so much that I need not forget different kinds of fruits when I do the grocery or else I will come back and buy more.

This is a very creative way of presenting fruits and for sure my kids will be more enticed to eat them. Such presentation is also perfect when we have parties so I will definitely do this if we'll have a party at home as it is very easy to do.

Tips to Turn Your Kids Room from a Nightmare to a Sanctuary

We all know that kids can be messy. It's inevitable that there will be messes in your life that need to be cleaned up. However, there comes a time when you must stop picking up after them. They need to learn about responsibility and just plain manners. The following article lists some great ways to turn your child's room from a nightmare into a sanctuary. It's all about functionality. It's one thing for something to look good but if it doesn't serve a purpose it just takes up room in everyday life.

Blank canvas

Before you get started it's a good idea to clear out the room. This will give you a better idea of what you are working with. You will need to consider just how spacious the room is, for smaller rooms go for lighter colours. Light colours reflect light and light makes spaces appear larger. If you decide to use a darker tone you'll need good lighting. Don't be afraid to try something different, decorating your child's room is a great opportunity to get adventurous. Try a feature wall with wallpaper or a block colour.

Gone are the days of the humble single bed. Beds are all about maximising their storage capacity. This doesn't mean that they are lacking in style. Depending on the amount of space you have, go for a bed with drawers underneath or a bunk bed. Bunks beds are no longer just beds on top of one another. If you are working with a tiny room you should look into retailers like Bunkers. They have lifted beds with desks underneath and heaps of other great designs. There are great and unique furniture designs out there, you just need to start searching.

Final touches

This is where you really should get your child involved. What are their favourite characters, colours, quotes, movies, celebrities and what inspires them? This is meant to be their space after all. You'll be able to insure that they don't go overboard. You want their space to be inspirational but to still be easy to organise. You want them to be able to keep their own room tidy.

In the end all you need to do sit down with your child and discuss together what should be included. It's their sanctuary so they should have a voice about the issue. The room should include somewhere for them to sleep, relax and study. Finally, set a budget and stick to it. You can a lot of great things with a small budget, work with what you have. Not everything has to be brand new.

Having his Time Off

We're on a holiday now. Spending time with my family in the city eating, eating and eating lol. We surely know how to eat... My husband is having a grand time and he is away from work for it's his birthday on the 12. He needs a little pampering and a way not to think about worries in his work trying to figure out stainless steel braided hose and other supplies for his business.

I want him to enjoy his day off with us and friends having some wine or beer and good laugh. That's what life should be, work hard and play hard. Work and rest should always come side by side, if not he'll be grumpy for the rest of his life hehe.

Long Weekend

Long weekend here in the land down under for it's Queen's birthday.

Spending time with my family here in the city. I will post photos soon.. Just need some time to have quality time with my hubby and kids..

Loving the time!

Time Flying so Quickly

Wow, we're already in the middle of the year and that was quick!

My kids are growing up so fast and wish they are still babies that I can cuddle in my arms. I've been busy with my school at TAFE while hubby is busy with his business. Everyone seems to be busy and in no time it will Christmas once again. As you all know, I really do put so much effort in decorating our house with lots of  brown wire christmas lights, my nutcracker decors, reindeers, santas and all other Christmas decors that you can think of.

If it's taking me a lot of time putting them, it's doubly hard purring them down and arranging them on the storage room once again.

Good Read: The Interrupt Rule

Being a parent is hard work especially if you have kids under your wings.

Here's a good read that I found while browsing online and this is something worth noting and doing in our own parenting.

Childhood Memories

I was browsing online the other night before I go to sleep when I saw some amps from musicians friend and it immediately remind me of my childhood days. I have a very happy and colorful childhood for my parents let me discover and experience things on my own.

My sis Jen and I used to play paper dolls and of course dress up. We climb trees and even roof of our neighbor to play and have a snack. There are no gadgets back then so we played on our backyard and garage. Pretty awesome.

My older brother keeps on playing his electric guitar that sometimes we felt it was just too He also plays rock music while my sis and I just continue to play with our little toy dolls and mini kitchen set.

Hall Art

I love Pinterest for there are just too many ideas that anyone can get an inspiration. I have made some DIY arts and got a lot of tips for the home and fashion just by browsing that site.

I even saw this hall art where I can made. This is where I can display the drawings or any creations by my daughter and son. It can also help them be more creative when they will see this.

Tying the Knot

I love weddings! Weddings are special and romantic and I'm always looking forward in attending this special union between two couples. I remember my wedding for it is so memorable as it was held back in the Philippines. My MIL and a friend of her even attended the wedding.

Just few weeks ago, I learned that a distant cousin of ours is also going to tie the knot before the year ends. I'm so sure that they are now very busy looking wedding bands for women, wedding invitations, give-away, caterers, flowers suppliers and all. It's going to be busy days for my cousin and her soon to be husband.

Wishing them all the happiness in the world and may they know that getting married is not all bed of roses but trials also come with it.

Her Much Needed Vacation

Saw pics of my sister Jen at her FB account from her recent trip in Ilocos Region. It seems that she enjoyed her vacation together with our niece K.

She told me about this and she was excited about this trip. I'm glad she was able to take a break from her work and do this adventure. She is not that adventurous so I'm quite amazed that she embarked on this long and tiring trip. I have not been to Ilocos and it looks like it was a sight to behold and hope in the future we'll also be able to see that famous Bangui windmills, Lighthouse, Vigan and other great places there.

With the looks of it, she's going to travel more.

Driving a Car

Nothing beats owning your own vehicle for you can go anywhere any time you want. Dear hubby owns a Toyota Hilux for 3 years now while I enjoy my Nissan  XTrail for 5 years already. Do I need a new one? Hmmm... why not? but at this time, we're not replacing them.

Before, I used to drop and fetch my eldest daughter to her school, dancing class and some other places but thankfully she's driving now. We gave her a cute red Holden car as a birthday gift about 2 years ago and since then she's been to many places. Just praying that she drives carefully all the time.

Back home in Pinas, we have 2 Toyota vehicles (a van and Tamaraw) for many years now ( I guess over 15 years) and it looks like they need to find toyota oem parts when they need to have it repaired. Thankfully, there are shops that sells original parts so it's pretty easy to find what they need. These vehicles served our family for a long time now and I guess they deserve a brand new vehicle soon, that is if they have the budget to buy one hehe...

Hot and Humid

Been hearing from my sister and my other friends living in the Philippines that it was just too hot and humid lately. It's nothing new because it's usually very hot and sticky when it's summer in the Philippines but it's very awesome to go to the beach, out of town and see nature. Temperature is ranging most of the times from 34-36 with matching 38 humidity.  I would love to come home one day during summer time but I prefer not to bring my kids and husband for I would not want them to experience how hot it is back home.

I'd prefer the cooler months like December and January for it is also nice to go places and enjoy the trip. Right now, it's chilly here in Aussie land for winter is coming very very soon so I need to bring all the winter clothes again soon.

If it's summer and hot in Manila it's different from where I am now.

Various Collections

My older brother is a visual artist and a collector at the same time. He has this small art gallery in their house in the Philippines where he displays all his canvass paintings, photography, and various art and memorabilia collections.

He already won various national awards for photography and visual art painting competitions and before the month end, he is having a one-man-show art exhibit in an art gallery. Apart from that, he collects various memorabilia such as old photos of celebrities, stamps, magazines, vintage bottles, coins and more. I know that he'd appreciate all the coins available at for silver eagles and early releases of coins such as this.

I'm not sure what he can get out of collecting such items but I'm positive that he loves doing it for I believe it can give him a different euphoria.

Recipes for Green Cleaning

While browsing online, found this very helpful tips. I guess I need to try this one time using materials and solutions that can be seen in every household. This can be eco-friendly and probably can save me some extra bucks.

Not quite sure of my dear daughter M will help me clean the whole house especially our big glass doors. Yay!.....

Our Filo Food Cravings

Lately, we've been dining out because hubby wants to taste some Filo foods every since he saw them on TV. Funny thing is, one of my friend on FB even commented if I don;t cook at home I do but you know there are times when you feel you already got bored with your cooking and all.. haha..

I guess I also gained weight and it looks like that I need to get portion control plates and bowls soon! I envy my sister who wanted to gain weight while me and others wanted to lose some weight and unwanted fats.. lol. It only shows that people don't get satisfied with their body weight at all.

If ever we'll go back to the Philippines for a vacation, we'll surely indulge with love of Filipino foods like caldereta, crispy pata that hubby loves so much, sinigang, nilaga, pochero, inihaw na bangus and many more. Ahhhh.. that makes me hungry!

Nail Art Obsession

It was in 2012 when I got hooked into nail art and everything about nails. Why not? It is so addicting and it can bring out the creativity in me..,, But since I got so busy with my BELLA SWEET CAKES business and with my studies right now, my nail art addiction or obsession if I can call it  has slowed down. I still love doing my nails but nothing like before.

This is my very first nail art and my other nail creations. I hope I can get back to this addiction again soon!

Musically Inclined

I had the chance to talk to my former college friend via FB last weekend and I'm so happy I was able to connect with her once again. We had a good time catching up with our lives and I'm happy that she's still working as a nurse and already had her own family. She proudly told me that her son was so musically inclined that she has no option but to support him all the way. A drummer and showing signs of being a good one in the future. She might have to buy egnater tweaker amplifier if needed. Looks like there's another musician in her family just like her father in his days.

She was happy for me as well knowing that I am now here in Australia with my beautiful family. We are not musically inclined but our family is more on art that we are very proud of. We talked for about an hour while I'm trying to do some online stuff as well. Nice to hear from her and hope we'd catch up again soon.

Bianca's Hello Kitty Themed Party

My lil' princess turned 8 last February and this is what I had set up for her party. It's a Hello Kitty Themed birthday party.

I styled the table set up ,, made the cake , cookies, cupcakes and the printables. It was a bit stressful making this standing up HK cake ,, I made it the night before the party , but I'm quite happy with the result.

Bianca loved the set up that I made and all her guests had a grand time.

Oh, BTW the cake  is chocolate mudcake that I baked... Check out my other creations at BELLA SWEET CAKES.

How Can I Persuade My Partner to Seek Debt Help?

If your partner is struggling with debt, it can be hard to know how to best support them through this tough time. It’s an emotionally stressful experience which can place significant strain on a relationship, but there are ways that you can encourage them to change their situation. Here are a few ways that you can persuade your partner to seek help for their debt.

Start Early
Don’t wait until the debt collectors come knocking on your door, the trick to tackling debt is to face it head on as soon as possible. If you’ve noticed your partner is having trouble paying off their credit cards or is struggling to make their loan repayments, it’s better to act sooner rather than later.

Have a talk about credit history, and why it is so important. It’s not just an individual issue, if your partner has bad credit you could both face refusals when it comes time to apply for a home loan. You should start thinking about ways in which you can talk to your partner about their debt problem, so you can both start working on a solution sooner.

Focus on Honest Communication
You need to be open and supportive at all times with your partner, as they will likely find it hard to talk about their debt. However you need to be honest, and explain how their debt problems can impact on your relationship. Being clear and concise will help your partner to admit that they need assistance, and your ongoing support can give them the motivation they need to get started on reducing their debt.

Explore the Available Options
Chances are, if you have noticed your partner’s problem with debt, it may be too late to fix it yourselves. Consulting a professional debt solutions agency such as Fox Symes can give you a range of options. From budgeting aid to assistance with organising a loan for debt consolidation, they can help your partner to regain a feeling of control over their finances. The sense of empowerment they will get from reducing their debt will take a huge strain off your relationship.

Support Your Partner Throughout
The road to becoming debt free is not an easy one, and requires hard work and dedication if it is to work in the long term. Your partner will have to change their spending habits, cut down on luxury items, and may feel like they have very little extra to spend. Make sure that you are as supportive as possible during this time, as your encouragement can make all the difference.

Focus on the positive improvements, but don’t be afraid to openly discuss the challenges either. If your partner feels like they can trust you not to be judgemental, they will allow you to help them through this difficult time.

Discussing your finances is hard, and discussing debt is even harder. Getting your partner to seek help for their problem with debt requires honesty and good communication between the two of you. However with your support, and the help of Australia’s leading debt solutions specialist, your partner will be back on their feet and enjoying life debt free. Contact Fox Symes for information on how your partner can lead a debt free life for good.

Graduates Soon

I learned from my sister that my niece and nephew in Manila are graduating from University soon. One finished her Multimedia Arts and Sciences while her bro is Computer Engineering at the same University. We  are so happy and proud of them because after many years of hard ship studying, they are finally graduating soon.

Their parents are extra happy for their hardship working overseas will be paid off with the graduation of their 2 children. My sister and her hubby will come home for their children's graduation this May and this event is surely something to celebrate.

I wish my niece and nephew congratulations and good luck in their chosen career. I also learned that my nephew already had a job even before he graduates. Awesome!

4 Ways to Cut Child Care Costs

Child care can be one of the greatest expenses for parents with young kids, yet for many it’s a necessary service that can’t be avoided. If you’re having trouble balancing the expenses of putting your kids in care, there are a range of options available to you. Here are 4 simple ways that you can start reducing the cost of child care for your kids.

Shop Around
You wouldn’t buy the very first car you look at, so why do the same with childcare? Compile a list of the childcare centres in your area and start calling for quotes. Don’t be afraid to ask if they are willing to beat a competitor’s quote to gain your business. Make sure you factor in the cost of the commute and impact on your time for centres that are further away.

Apply for Flexible Hours
Many workplaces understand the strain that childcare can place upon parents, and may allow you to tailor your hours to better suit your kids. As long as you have the opportunity to make up the hours, you may be able to create a working pattern which allows you to cut down on your childcare costs. Share a Babysitter Teaming up with friends or neighbours to hire a nanny or babysitter for your kids can be a significantly better investment than the cost of childcare. The benefits are that your children will be professionally looked after with individual care and attention, which can sometimes be overshadowed in busy care centres with large numbers of children in each group.

Work from Home
Working from home might seem like a dream for most parents, but with enough drive and determination you can make it happen. Whether you create your own business or look into some form of freelancing work which you can do from home, the benefit of staying home means much less spent on childcare.

Before you decide to quit your job and start working from home, you need to make sure your financial situation is secure. Consolidating any outstanding debt or credit cards that you have should be your first priority. Set up a free consultation with a reputable debt solutions agency such as Fox Symes to ensure that you are starting your new venture without the stress of outstanding debt.

Keep in mind that if you are working from home, you may still need someone to look after the kids occasionally while you have meetings, client appointments, or simply need a few hours to focus on your work. Ask your friends and neighbours if they have older kids who might be able to look after your children for a few hours, it can be significantly cheaper than hiring a nanny.

Cutting the cost of childcare can significantly strengthen your financial position and reduce stress. If you’re still finding it hard to make ends meet, talk to the professional consultants at Fox Symes debt solutions to work on debt solutions that will see you in charge of your finances once more.

Tax Season

Having a business is no joke for there are lots of things to take care: products, services, employees, payroll and taxes just to name a few. Accountants like accountant carson thorn will be busy once again in computing annual income tax returns for last year. Need to contact our own CPA for the paper works.

Meanwhile, my sis who also has a small business back in Phils. doesn't have any accountant for their income is not that high. Our SIL who is a bookkeeper does the paperwork for her, I guess if the annual income doesn't meet the certain amount, they are allowed not to have an account. Oh well, at least she is still paying her income tax all the time.

Nothing beats being a mom! I'm a mom to 2 beautiful daughters and a son and they are my life and my precious gift from above. I cherish every minute I spent with them and will not want anything but them including my hubby.

Never been too Busy

Things can be pretty busy here at the Land Down Under. I've got my wifey and mommy duties plus my work and studies too. Wooo... I'm super woman, right? I know I can do it as long as I can prioritize and schedule all the things that need to be done. Also, I will not accomplish things if not for the help of my hubby and kids. Hubby is also busy with our benchtop business and he still needs to check on the house if there are repairs or supplies that needs to be bought like spring pins and boards on the project that he is thinking.

Ahh.. what a life but I'm loving every second of it!

Ahhhh.... this is an awesome picture of the Hornby Lighthouse at Sunset  here in Sydney, Australia....

My sister Jen has this penchant for lighthouses and when she came here for a vacation few years back, my husband and I took her to Kiama, NSW where not only she saw the famous "Blow Hole" but also the beautiful light house there. She literally took a lot of photos there and now she's wanting to see lighthouses again in different places.

If ever she'll have the chance to come back here again, we'll take her at Hornby Lighthouse.

A Different Course

Wow.... time really flies so fast. My nieces and nephews back in the Phils. are all grown up now. Some have graduated in collge with different degrees, 2 more will graduate soon while some are in highschool and the youngest is 10 years old which is in grade school. The last time that we went back in the Phils. was in 2009 and oh boy they have changed a lot especially the 2 young teens in their highschool.

I learned from my sister Jen that one of my nephew is contemplating of taking up conservatory of music in college at the top univ in the country. Wow, I never thought that he's consider that course but if that is what he likes then he should go for it. I know that his parents will support him in any way and for sure if he needs the best headphone amplifier for his studies, they will surely buy one for him. I just wish that they will study hard and give something in return for their parents when he has a job already.

Added Income

It's been a while since I was able to talk to my sister in the Philippines and fortunately few days ago I was able to get hold of her at facebook. We just chat for a while since I'm also busy with some works. It's good to know that her online work is doing good but it's sad to know that her internet cafe is not picking up these days. Desktop computers prices and internet subscription have gone down tremendously in their place that's why almost all household have pc already making her business slow....

Anyway... I know she can find some other sideline that can give added or extra income for her. She can do graphic designs as well and I will not wonder if one day she'll venture into cigar affiliate program to get some commission out of it. I'm just wishing her luck.

It's been awhile and I haven't updated my blog ,, been busy with the kids at school ,, and as for me me ,, been busy too,, I decided to go and take and short course at TAFE,, so I'm back to school too .

My lil girl is now in Year 3 ,, whoooa  time is so quick ,,, I started this blog when she was only around 2 years old , now she is 8 and a very smart girl too .. She loves school and love to join most of the school activities ,, from dancing to sport , now to music and how she  mentioned that she wanted to play a flute  , I told her that , that would be nice, I always wanted to play that instrument when I was young ..  so I have to search around where to get a good value flute that she can cherish forever.

Her lesson will start in 2 weeks time and she is very excited about it .. she sometimes watch some youtube to see how kids play the instrument ,, its good that she is enthusiastic about it and cant wait for her to learn it and play something for me ...
