Love em' (Head Bands)

LOVE EM!!!!
I am loving these CUTE CUTE head band ,, I saw them on ETSY and they are really adorable and easy to make . 

So I was inspired to make a custom made for Bianca , so I rushed in the shops and bought the supplies .. 

I went to a dollar shop and bought these faux flowers for a cheap price ,, and these buttons too...

Glue them together and then sew the button and sew it on the headband ,,, Thats it!!! Now you've got a beautiful head piece for your princess. I have some more flowers left and I will surely do some more and add more layers......

School FUN

Last Thursday , B1's school had a Book Parade where they can dress up as a character. 

That morning ,, I dressed up Bianca as a Fairy Princess,, then when I pulled out B1's  Muscle man costume, he doesn't wanna wear it,, he only wants his School uniform,, I tried to explain it to him,, but he was hesistant,, so I told him just to bring it and placed it in his bag,,

When we reached the school,, he was excited to see most of the kids wearing different costumes... he saw his Teachers  all dressed up too,, so he took his Muscle man out of his bag and wanted to change right then and there......

It was a FUN day , seeing all the kids excited as they did a costume parade,, even all the teachers were dressed up some are even wearing adult halloween costumes , fairies, Dorothy, Harry Potter  and others...

Mommy Moments theme is about Name Game


I got Braiden's name from the Baby book and the meaning is
Transferred use of the English surname meaning “from Bradden, a dweller near the broad valley.” The name originates from several place-names meaning “broad valley.” 

Var: Bradon, Braydan, Brayden, Braydon.

Whoaaa,,, what a coincidence as I was thinking of how I will do with the post I went through my pics of file and Alas!!!!!!! here is a perfect name for him.....

This is the land that we bought and where we are going to build our Dream Home!!!! 

Our broad valley!!!!!!! Braiden loves the place and he loves to go up and down the hill.... he would surely fits in here cause his name is Braiden and a dweller near the broad valley!! PERFECT!!!!!!!

and BIANCA's name!!! My husband who is has an Italian Heritage suggested to me that we should have an Italian name for our lil princess.... , 

I liked BELLA 

DUHHHHH... that would be funny   BELLA DIBELLA!!!!!!!!!!!    

So I guess I can just name our future dog BELLA instead, mas bagay.......

So after much deliberation, we came up with Bianca .....BIANCA is a beautiful name for her ,, meaning  white , fair in Italian.....

Our lil Snow White!!!!!!


and last but not the least the big sis MICAH her name was from a baby book and the meaning is The name Micah is a shortened form of Micaiah which means "Who is like unto the Lord?" The longer form of this name appears (In the Hebrew text) in Jeremiah 26:18. In Micah 7:18 a word play is made on his name. "Who is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession?"

and Yes... I do hope that she would live up to her name......  

Her name is unusual here in OZ ,, sometimes they would pronounce it differently, but since the singer MIKA  came up with the hit song Grace Kelly , the name became popular that is how I pronounce it..... and yes this is her fave song too....

 

Oh Yeah,, she's doing her Hip Hop moves for everyone!!!!!!!!!

Pack Away

As I was packing some of our stuff I started packing DVDs, CD and cassette tapes,, yeah cassette tapes!!!!! I still have heaps of them,, dunno what to do ,, this is the generation where you can see kids and their ipods  ... oopps... were are one of those.... in fact we have 3 ipods  and I have the Iphone so we are all Music loving people,,,, yeah right......

Micah is loving it!!!! She got the IPod classic where she can watch movies or shows ,,, (very good for long trips for her) and selfishly using the 2 Ipod 3rd generation .. 

Going back to packing up ,,, I am not sure yet if I will put in the box and label them "For Garage Sale" or to "Keep"..

I have to purge things so that when we move I wont take things that we are not using but its gonna be a long tedious work as I slowly pack things up, we already signed the contract but exchange of contract is on the way of getting processed, things are not yet final but I am crossing my fingers that everything will go smoothly,, I am ready to move on and eager to start building......

I'l keep everyone updated.....  oopps,, its packing time!!!!

Update on my House

People might be wondering what the latest with our house ..

 

After 2  1/2 months on the market , we have made a decision to accept an offer last Friday, I told Joe to accept the offer because I dont want to drag it too long and relist the house, first of all we are scheduled to go on a holiday at HongKong and the Philippines on December it would be a stressful to have the house for sale and a coming vacation, so I reckon that we made the right decision.. Now we are looking for a place to rent and soon we are going to start building,, 

Too much stuff happening on our family during the  year 2009!!!  Very EXCITING....

It so stressful to sell a house ,, I made sure that it is always spotless ....specially when someone wanted  to inspect the house even at night time so I am always stressed out.. 

 But blogging during late at night  ease my tired body and mind .... I enjoy blog hopping and finding inspirations and motivations.......

and I found these cute and adoring prints from Yumi Yumi on Etsy.. I'm an Etsy lover now ; there are heaps of nice hand made stuff from the site...

I ordered for these 2 OWL prints and they  arrived today and Im keeping it for awhile before I put it in a frame ...

I love them  and cant wait to decorate her room..

But whats with the OWL?????  Most of the shabby chic designs are with owls....   show you some of then next time,,,

Mommy Moments theme for this week is Rain Rain Go away....

When I was a child I used to love when it is raining ,, staying outside and getting wet was a FUN.

Just like my kids ; they love it when it is raining; but I never let them stay outside and play in the rain.. Dangerous,, 1st because of the lightning, and the most dreaded part because of a hail storm which often happens here in Oz during Summer time, sometimes it is as big as a tennis ball.

Look at my lawn during a hail storm... all covered...... thank goodness they're not BIG or they will ruin cars, properties and houses...

But the rainbow is what my kids love to see after the rain!!!!!

Weekend at Illawarra

Weekend is family time for us...  Most of the time we take the kids out or dine out,, or even just drive around... This week  our weekend drive led us to a beautiful place called Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk...

There are beautiful and exciting places to visit here in Australia and we never ran out of places to go to.... This was our fist visit here and it was exciting and can be quite scary for those who are afraid of heights...

It was 25 metre high walk and once you reached the swaying springboard cantilevers suspended  above the forest it was nerve wrecking!!!! 

And when we reached the Tower I just cant muster any courage to go up there,,
the fact that I have Bianca with me, I decided not to go up there ,, so here we were just sitting and chillin out, Joe , Micah and my brave lil boy Braiden went up....

The 1500 metre rainforest walk includes the 500 metre long, 25 metre high elevated treetop walk which provides a new and unique viewing perspective of the rainforest along the Illawarra escarpment. Bianca's preschool the fund raising and we bought these colourful , yummy cupcakes at preschool....

Last year, you sold over 250,000 cupcakes across Australia. This year, we want to ice that total and add hundreds and thousands!

PAELLA... although making this dish takes a lot of time and effort,, I enjoyed it and my Hubby loved it!!!!! YUMMMMM...

 

Pumpkin Patch Sale

I Just cant get enough,..... I just cant get enough!!!!!! 

Yup,, loving the sale from Pumpkin Patch,,, this season I was obsessed with Pumpkin Patch clothes....

And every end of the season as the shops clear off their Winter stock to make way for Spring /Summer collection ; you can snag a good bargain....

I Love their sale as their prices slash to 40-70 percent off....

Pumpkin Patch clothes are very durable and worth it...

I already bought some clothes for next winter,, buying one size up for B1 and B2 , getting all the essentials like jeans and long sleeve shirts...

Sale is still on ,, and running out fast,, I just cant help but visit the shop when Im around the area...

Spring/ Summer clothes are on display and Im loving it to!!!! Very dainty and sweet collection...

Mommy Moments for this week is I gotta Wear shades..
Yup... its not just to look cool mate................

Its a must to wear sunglasses not only to look cool but more importantly to protect your eyes...

Reports say that about 300 Australians are diagnosed with eye cancer and conjunctival cancers each year. Over 40 Sydneysiders will be diagnosed with eye cancers this year alone ...

 We always say here "Wear your Sunnies!!!!!"" 

That is why I always have my sunnies with me all the time ,, in fact everyday especially when Im driving.. The suns ray is very harsh and we have the highest incidence of skin cancer.... imagine the UV rays .........

So protect your eyes and have a glimpse of sunglasses lovers at Mommy Moments.......

Repeated exposure of the eyes to UV radiation causes both short-term eye complaints
and permanent eye damage. Short-term complaints include mild irritations such as
excessive blinking, swelling, or difficulty looking at strong light. UV exposure can also
cause acute photo keratopathy, which is essentially sunburn of the cornea, like snow
blindness or welders flash burns.
Exposure to UV radiation over long periods can result in more serious damage to the
eyes, including cataracts, pterygium, solar keratopathy, cancer of the conjunctiva and
skin cancer of the eyelids and around the eyes.1

The Cancer Council Australia and Eye Research Australia recommend:
 Reducing UV radiation exposure as much as possible.
 Wearing a broad-brimmed, bucket or legionnaire style hat.
 Wearing close-fitting, wrap around style sunglasses that meet the Australian
Standard AS/NZS 1067:2003 for sunglasses (categories 2, 3 and 4).
 Glasses which transmit very little UV radiation, such as those labelled UV 400 or
EPF (Eye Protection Factor) 9 or 10.
 Sunglasses should not be worn at night as this reduces visibility.
 If outdoor workers need protection from flying particles, dust, splashing materials
and harmful gases, eye protectors should be worn that comply with Australian
Standard AS/NZS 1337:1992 (eye protectors for industrial applications).

It been a fine day today.... We have 18 more days till we start SPRING!!!!! WEEEEE.. cant wait for it... 

Although our mornings are still cold  and  misty ; afternoon would be Lovely and sunny and warm but gets cold at night time ...

As I walk around my local shops ,, WINTER clothes are on Sale and Spring and Summer clothes are out on display... With all the beautiful clothes for lil Princess ,, I am getting excited ....

Mommy Moments (Part of the Family)

Mommy Moments this week is Part of the family.

These pictures are my Hubby's family...
Pop and Nonna...

They are Italians and they  are the most loving Great Grand parents... 

We love visiting Nonna because she cooks the best Italian pasta ever,, she just turned 80 last week ..
This is POP ...  what a great man ,, he's surely got lots of stories to tell ..... during his younger days ....

Joe's Auntie Sina  is the one wearing peach.. she just adores my kids and my kids love her soo...

A fine lady and always there for us when we need help....

We love him soo much... he is always there for us  and a great uncle and a mate for Joe... We always seek his advice because he's full of knowledge and wisdom....  
and when the Italians are complete,,, expect a good food, wine and good conversation....

I know it is not complete,, Joe's dad passed away when Joe was only 6 years old and Joe's mum lost her battle to cancer 3 years ago,,,,  

We dearly miss Mum Connie!!!!!
