Have a break

After doing all my household chores.. polishing, mopping, sweeping , tidying and doing the beds , A nice break is absolutely a HEAVEN.....

So here I was wearing my  daggy winter shoes, legs up with a Foxtel remote on my hand and watching Ellen...... a cup of tea would be nice .... but its lunch time .... hummm.... Im thinking of a Mcdonalds  chicken burger for lunch.... Yummmm.. but ended but having left over roasted veggies from last night.......

Mommy Moments (Encounter with Animals /Pet)

Mommy Moments for this week is Encounter with Pets or animals..

Last year we took the kids at the farm so they can pat and feed the baby animals since they love doing it...

Daddy Joe is always around to reassure the kids that its ok to pat the baby animals , since Bianca is hesitant to get close with them...

We are planning to take care of lambs , chickens , ducks or birds and a dog once we built our most awaited house..... cant wait for it!!!

Ill be a farmer's wife  soon!!!!!!

TOY SALE!!!!!!!!!!

YUp ,,, its this time of the year again as the Big W and K mart start their half yearly TOY SALE madness!!!!

Yes me....!! A TOY HUNTER  who loves TOY !!!!!! but I try to hold myself from buying too much toys... because I just decluttered  my kids rooms  and now they are stashed in the garage ,, anyway,,, SELF CONTROL is the key,, hey I told myself that I am not going to buy bulky toys ,, I just have 3 toys that I'm eyeing at the moment...  Take along Thomas the Tank and Friends train,, its 40% off ,, so Im getting the trains that will add to Braiden's  Thomas collection,,, and the Mrs Potato head....

So I did my daily clean up first this morning then off I went to the shops,,, they closed the mall and people are on their way out ,, there was a Power failure ... they said that it will take 3 hours to restore the power.. so I drove back home and will come back later.....

Kmart is also having a TOY SALE but its  far from my place ,, so couldnt bother to travel that far,,,  here is Kmart's Catalouge..

They offer a  NO DEPOSIT lay by and will hold the toys till Christmas eve,, I used to do that every year ,, but since this year we are going to celebrate Christmas in the Philippines so there is no point to buy gifts for the kids,, I'll just do my shopping in Hong Kong since we are going to HK for 4 days before we fly to the Philippines...

Yep... Tomorrow Tuesday , 30th of June ...... Its LOTTO FEVER here in Australia as the jackpot price reached to a sweeping 90 Million dollars!!!!! WHOA!!!!!!!! Imagine winning the whole jackpot....  but what are the chances????

Anyway,,,   I have to rush to  my local lotto agent to get a ticket,, you'll never know!!!!

My Weekend Snapshot

Selling a house as I always say is stressful... takes a lot of my time...

 I am so particular with how I present my house to the buyer....   

 It has to be Spotless!!!!

We had an Open House Saturday 1:30 pm and my started with gettingthe kids ready and myself ready,, then as the kids watch TV I did my daily clean up and get things organized...

A table set up ......... Check.......

A programmed coffee machine..... check.....

They say that when you are selling your house you must use all the senses .. and the smell of fresh brewed coffee is so inviting and feels homely ....

A nice entrance ...check.......

I placed a beautiful flowering plant on my entrance,, so that it will be inviting,,,,

I also programmed a CD music playing BACH classical music...soft and  relaxing...

and a clean house to entice the buyers.......

I hope that we would sell the house soon since we are ready to move on and start building our new dream home....

Mommy Moments (School Days)

Mommy Moments for this week is about School Days

Braiden started his 1st day of school last January 30, 2009.. It was an apprehensive day for all of us, knowing that this is his 1st day in Big school....

There was a lot of arrangements and big decision was made on finding a right school for him...

For those who knows about Braiden's condition ,, it was  a stressful process for us .. My hubby and I wanted all the best for him and after enrolling him in a private school and he was supose to start there when  a big opportunity came for him to be a part of a government school came we grabbed the offer!!!,, it s a special class catering for all their needs ....  6 children in a class with 2 teachers .. and its free!!!!  whoaa.. and the school is newly built and just opened this year....  what a beautiful school !!!!!!! We couldn't be more happier for him to be a part of this school ....

It is a normal school where they have a 2 special classes where they can integrate with the rest of the kids in the whole school ... what a good opportunity for him to socialize with others...

5 months on and he just love going to school!!!!!! He is very obedient and really come out a long way.....  his social skills improved ,, his language skills are getting better and his is coping really well with his subjects  especially in Maths...   

He is a very affectionate boy ,,, and we all know that he is a TEACHER"S PET!!!!

Braiden already received 3 awards  and with his teacher Ms Tiffany whom he adores so much...
Last week we attended a meeting with his teachers , principal and workers to evaluate his performance, and we are happy to say that he is doing great....

and through that we are not sure if he fits in his diagnosis  or he had crossed that line and improved a lot ......

Whatever it is we are Happy to see him improving ,,   we know that we are doing all the BEST for him and we LOVE HIM so much!!!!

Shoes

Lil Bianca is loving her new shoes!!!!!!   Bought this at Cotton On shop for just $5  ... What a bargain!!!!  Specially now that they are having a Stocktake Sale...

This cute shoes is her fave shoes ,, worn at home or on the weekends when we go out ..

And this is Lil Miss when she decided to cut her hair 3 weeks ago,,, she was playing with a miniature scissor.. I was upstairs and wondering why she was quiet.. and there the lil miss trying to be a hairdresser!!

Cleaning Tiles

YUp....  This was our bonding time last week Cleaning up the Floor tiles.... The whole area is with tiles and we had to clean them up ,,, section by section,,,, I already had my carpet upstairs professionally cleaned and I dont want to spend $400 to have the floor tiles cleaned ,, 

So instead my kids helped me me scrubbed.. Yup ,, I had a cheap labour ,,,,  Child Labour as they say,,, and I treated them by giving my "GOOD KIDS" praise,,  well I cooked dinner for them also !!!!  ha ha ha..

My yucky tiles ,, the grout is so grubby and needed a good scrub....!!!!  Dont get me wrong I mop my tiles , but the grout really needs a good scrubbing!!!

 

So I gathered the cleaning materials ,,,  I used BICARB SODA and WHITE Vinegar ,, a brush covered with old panty hose.. as what I learned from watching Lush House of Shannon Lush...


My Cinderellas.... scrub scrub scrub!!!!!!  I placed the Bicarb in a shaker and the vinegar in the spray bottle... shake the bicarb on the grout and the spray the vinegar,,, when it starts fizzing give it a good scrub,,, 
as the dirt lodges off,, mop it with water in the bucket with vinegar...

Hey,, its NINJA TURTLE mopping the floor!!!!!!!
as the time pass and the kids had enough ,,, 2 of them surrendered on doing the hard work,,, But one of them remained!!!!! My Lil Bianca !!!!! who was left mopping the floor,, Ninja Turtle had given up,,, but this lil princess was still happy to help me...


and ALAS a  clean ,,, whiter grout and tiles......  although a few days it will have a chalky look ,, just mop it with water with vinegar.....

Friends and relatives noticed the big difference.... 

It was a hard job doing the whole area,,, but what I did was finished the kitchen and living area , then the next  day the formal area .....

It was worth it......

Our house is officially FOR SALE ... The house just been listed on the market last Tuesday.

 When the sign FOR SALE was placed ,,, Mixed emotions was felt....  A sad , happy and panic ..

It was his birthday last June 12  and  as we wished him all the BEST!!!!!   

I adore him so much because he is such a good family man and he is doing all his best for his family...

Although its not Fathers day here in Oz ,, ours is on September,, we celebrate his Birthday and WE LOVE HIM so!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shopping ...

My Kids love to go grocery shopping!!!!

Yup ,, after picking B1 from school  and B2 from preschool we make it a point to go to the nearby Coles grocery .. and they know they have to hurry up to get the trolley with child seats and luckily we always get the trolley considering that they only have 1 special trolley ....

This shopping cart is good for parents with kids ,, it has seatbelts and  the kids enjoy having a ride...  Its not hard to push and a stress-free shopping experience for me!!!!

I remember when Braiden was around 2 1/2 he was such a handful and he just bolts out ,, Bianca  was still a baby then and I used to push them on a double pram which is very heavy and the constant whinning and Braidens would always throw a tantrum ... It was such a daunting experience to go shopping ,,, so I used to do my grocery shopping online which they deliver at home... 

But now those days are gone and I am so relieved that my boy had changed so much... 

as I brag my kids are well behaved  and easy to manage now.... Thanks goodness.....

As Jigi said on her blog FINALLY!!!!!!!!  Yup shes right finally we met each other... Jigi is also a member of TOY HUNT ....

I was meant to  meet her ages ago ,, when Zechy was still a baby ,, but now he is such a charming lil man and a big brother to Baby Hannah....

It was only 10 minutes away from my place and I took Bianca with me , we went to the doctor first and she had her immunisation and went straight to Jigi's place... It was freezing that day and the warm welcome that we received from them made us feel cozy ....

Thanks Jigi and I have to meet up with you again.......

A Special announcement from TOY HUNT.......

as much as it pains me ,, this would be the last TOY HUNT,, the reason is that we are embarking on a new challenges and this would require most of time...  I'll be BUSY as ever...

I posted before that we are planning on moving... yup ,, we decided to build our Dream Home and this is where it gonna happen take a peek of the land....

I've  been busy cleaning up the house ......... scrubbing , tidying all the bits ,, because we are putting our house on the market.... I hope that we can sell this lovely home quick so we can start our new adventure in life....

This is B2's toy Tanner which is Barbie's pet dog...

What is so funny/silly about this is that the Dog has a dog food that you can place in the dogs mouth and then comes out as a poop,,,,

placed it in the bin and the back of the bin is a container for dog food!!! hey its Recyclable !!! ha ha ha.... 

 anyway...  B1 was checking for the Food/poop......

Haircut

Yup Im BACK!!!! Been busy lately.. that's  why I havent updated my blog,, Surely Missed everyone...

and here is my entry for Mommy Moments  HAIRCUT...

This was taken 3 months ago... I took Bianca at the hairdressers to get a trim... 

and why is the Fringe/ bangs to short?????    well,,, there is a story about this,,,, my eldest daughter Micah, played with Biancas hair and cut it .... so she messed it up... so the hairdresser had to fix it....

But I think she is still cute ... look at those dooey big eyes.....

Kids Fun

Another busy weekend for us ,,, especially for my kids....here are my shots for the Weekend Snapshot

Last Saturday we took the kids at Wiggly Play Centre for a photo shoot.... yup,, as much as I wanted my kids to be a model,, maybe this will be a break for them,, ha ha ha,, actually its for advertisement for the Wiggly PLay centre for the cinema,,, the kind of commercial you see before the start of the movie....My hubbys aunty work as a manager of the centre ,,,thats why she told us to come over,,, the kids enjoyed playing,, and having a pretend birthday party here.. 

You can also see my eldest daughter MJ who works there hosted the party....

and most of the kids here are our relatives....

After visiting a Home showrooms we went to the Mean Fiddler for lunch..

and there was a Kids Disco... my B1 and B2 enjoyed it so much ,, following the dance moves from HS musical ...

My hubby and I enjoyed watching them participate with the other kids.... we had a smile on our faces when during the game Limbo rock B1 and B2 were holding hands the whole game!!! they are really adorable to see!!!!

Wheww!!!! everytime you buy a train in the packet they have a little book of trains and their names and Braiden would look at it and tell me what to buy next time!!!!!And to think my hubby just gave in to Braiden's whim this afternoon,, he bought him the Salty with Sea cargo trucks....
He is just nuts about Thomas,,, I though that he had outgrown his love for Thomas when he received a Lego City for his birthday,,, but his love for Thomas was reignited when we took him to A Day with Thomas see here for the pics....

.Aside from the Take along ,, he also have some battery operated Thomas complete with tracks but I have to put it away in the box,,, It is massive,, and I dont want my house to be a Museum of Thomas....

But these Take along are collectible items...... we are almost complete with the trains ,,, some are already rare,, like Bertie the Bus which I bought on good old Ebay!!!!!!!

Lil Miss

It was a beautiful Autumn Day this morning,,, the Maple trees are showing off their beautiful coloured leaves, it was a good opportunity to take a picture of my fave model Lil Miss Bianca

Toy Hunt (Battery operated Toy/s)

TOY HUNT time again and this time its easy because its a Battery Operated Toy/s as this week's theme.

There is a story about this toy Charlie Coal the grill which is a good toy with batteries  and it talks as you play a pretend cooking....

Last month ,we were invited to a birthday party,, so I went in my magic garage and took this toy out....


Well,, magic garage as I call it,, because I keep some toys in there , whenever there is a TOY sale I buy toys that are really cheap and keep them knowing that its gonna be of good use, we are always getting invited to birthday parties  so I dont have to worry about buying gifts..

So back to the story.... I took out the Charlie Coal out and was about to wrap it up,,, but my kids did not stop bugging me that they wanted the toy!!!!!  They are so excited and they said to keep it for them,,,  oh well,,,,,, so I went inside the magic garage and took the Leap Frog Word Launch instead,,, since the kids already have the same toy like this ,, I juts thought that the Charlie the coal is appropriate because the bday celebrant is turning 3 ,, and the Leap Frog is for ages 4 and up,,, well anyway,, it turned out the the celebrant likes the Leap Frog and my kids are enjoying the Charlie the Coal!!!

Weekend at Darling harbour

This weekend we took the kids at Darling Harbour , we went to see the exhbit for Home and Renovation,, then took the kids to watch UNDER the Sea 3D at IMAX Movie

I was still feeling a bit sick,,,, 2 days ago my daughter Bianca was sick , but last Saturday she was feeling well.... 

At the IMAX,, I juts had a terrible headache and I juts cant watch the movie anymore since it is a 3D and I have to wear 3 D glasses,, the more Im having a headcahe... so I just went to sleep ,, while hubby and the kids watched the movie....

Since its KIDs time,,,, we took them to the Australian National Maritime Museum ...  the afterward we went to take them to see the replica of the Endevour  ,, kids love em,,, they say it's a Pirate ship!!!! 

Actually it is a replica of HMS Endeavour ; a 10-gun Royal Navy bark commanded by Lieutenant James Cook on his first voyage of discovery, to Australia and New Zealand in 1769-71.





The Endeavour is recreated

The HM Bark Endeavour was recreated to exacting standards, with building begun in 1988 in Fremantle, Western Australia. Because of financial difficulties, a charitable trust, HM Bark Endeavour Foundation, was set up in 1991 to continue the work on the new Endeavour.

The completed replica was launched on December 9, 1993 and commissioned on April 16, 1994. She set sail for Sydney in October of that year, visiting Albany, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne and other ports along the way.

The Endeavour sails the world

On arrival in Sydney the Endeavour was displayed at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour. Since then, the Endeavour has sailed in both Australia and New Zealand and embarked on a world voyage, through South Africa, on to England, the east and west coasts of North America before returning to New Zealand and Australia. She was in port in Sydney during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

The Endeavour then set out on other international voyages and in April 2005 returned to Sydney from Cook's hometown, Whitby, in England.

The non-profit HM Bark Endeavour Foundation has transferred ownership of the ship to the Australian Government.

When in Sydney, the Endeavour is docked at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour and is open to the public between 10am and 5pm daily.

Organizing my Pantry

Whoaa... Its been awhile since I joined the Monthly Organizing Round up ,, but Im back and this month is organizing a Closet or Cupboard..

So this is my Pantry that really needs a revamp... 

As you can see I have some sort of oragnizing going on ,, but it is not working for us....and just plain messy...

Hey I blame it on my teenage daughter who  gets stuff and just leave it anywhere,,,,

As you can see I;ve got my cereal  and breakfast stuff up there ...

and my  condiments scattered...

and how about the plastic bags....!!!! way too full!!!!

So I've been looking around for some tips and tricks ... and got heaps of stuff from Organizing junkie ...

Then I bought these stuff...

After clearing them all up ,, took them out of the cupboard and checking which are still edible and taking some stuff out of bulky packets ...

The overloaded plastic bag were minimised.. I placed them in a bin for Plastic bag in my local grocery  for recycling....

I kept a few to be use as bin liner....
I used the basket for my Softdrinks and the white basket to put my garlic and onion down the bottom



















I love these Decor containers with tags 

I also used this container to put snacks and muesli bar easy to reach for kids ..and I love this tip for my spices that I labeled

And these Lazy Susan!!! Love em!!!!!! I just have to turn it and I can easily access whatever I need!!! Clever eh......

Mommy Moments( Doctor Doctor am I sick?)

Doctor Doctor am I sick?

Unfortunately my entry for Mommy Moments coincide with the theme for this week...

My Little Possum Bianca is sick at the moment.....

This was taken on Wednesday morning just before we went out to visit a friend for lunch...She was in good spirit dancing and posing for me.....

I passed by my friend Alel's house to pick her up so she can just come with us,, but she said she is not taking her lil boy with her because he was sick...  when we arrived to her place I took Bianca out of the car to just say hello to the lil boy ,,... then off we went...

Then at night time , I woke up hearing Bianca's cry , her temperature was 39.5 , paracetamol helped a bit and I was all night in her bed .. Thursday her temp would be up every 4 hours , poor lil girl but she was such a good girl .. So she's got the virus.. took her to the doctor and just said to give paracetamol and  keep her at home..

Panadol , a drink bottle, thermometer and my home phone , Joe always ring up to check up on  Bianca , when she knew that she's got a high temp , 30 minutes later Daddy was home to comfort his sick lil girl......


I hope everyone is doing well....... Today Bianca is still having high temp and vomited in the morning ,, just keeping her at home and giving her fruits , water , juice and her medicine...

School Holiday
